Library Shows
|
Ben has performed for hundreds of
libraries over the last seventeen years. Comments from some of these
are included at the bottom of this page. |

Dear Librarian:
Getting
children to turn out for your summer reading program, and getting
favorable publicity for your library – these are two important goals
that I can help you achieve.
For the last 17
years I have helped get the attention and interest of children by
presenting my professional comedy, magic and juggling show.
This year I
will incorporate the “Catch The Reading Bug” theme into my “I Love
Books” show. The show provides children with a live exposure to the
performing arts, offers a motivational theme, and lets them enjoy
themselves at the same time.
I can provide
a “press kit” to help you promote the show. Many newspapers have run
articles with photos, often on the front page.
The summer
calendar always fills up fast, be sure to give us a call soon to
schedule a date at your library.
Some comments from libraries:
“I want to sincerely thank you for the two
outstanding shows which you performed. I love your
warm friendly manner, and the easy way you involve
so many children from the audience. Both the adults
and the children thoroughly enjoyed your magic,
comedy, and juggling. I would recommend you highly!
Your performance was the highlight of our Summer
Reading Program. I wanted someone very special for
the end of the summer - - a talented, professional
entertainer. You certainly filled the bill.”
Donna Blotkamp, Royal Oak Public Library
“An official thank you for the wonderful job you did
entertaining this summer at our libraries. You were
by far the summer’s favorite!! Children and adults
all enjoyed your performances and have requested
return visits.
Your professionalism, your talented juggling, your
excellent sense of pacing, your ability to involve
the audience, and your delightful sense of humor all
were appreciated.”
Martha Albosta, Public Libraries of Saginaw
“We all enjoyed your shows tremendously. So many of
the parents and their children commented on how much
fun they had. We will see you in December for the
workshops.”
Jamie Fletcher, Troy Public Library
“Thank you very much for putting on such a fine
performance at the Friendship Shell. Our audiences
sure enjoyed your comedy, magic and juggling. There
were 589 who attended the morning performance.
We appreciated the references to the library and
books during your performance and helping us
emphasize reading for fun and knowledge.”
Averill Packard, Bay County Library System
